What is the Mini Face Lift?
The Mini Face Lift is a minimally invasive technique that rejuvenates the facial appearance via a short scar technique under a local anaesthetic.
How does the Mini Face Lift differ to a traditional Face Lift?
The Mini Face Lift is performed under a local anaesthetic so is listed as an outpatient procedure. There is no overnight stay required and the procedure has minimal downtime. As it is minimally invasive, it does not cause as much bruising or swelling compared to a traditional Face Lift.
What is the recovery period?
Recovery for this procedure is within a few days – one week, compared to many weeks following a traditional Face Lift.

Lip Lifts remove some of the excess skin and pull the lip to a higher position, exposing more pink vermillion. When combined with injectable fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm, Lip Lifts can resort a youthful pucker to aging lips or enhance naturally thin lips.
Your Surgeon, Mr Darryl Coombes, will create an incision just beneath your nose, where the resulting scar will be hidden well. Incision placement and risk of scarring vary by skin type and anatomy. He or she then removes a strip of skin in the shape of a “Cupids Bow”, mimicking the curve of your upper lip, and raises your lip to its new position before closing the incision.
The procedure takes approximately 1 hour and is performed as an outpatient procedure under Local Anaesthetic.
Lip Lift Recovery – How long?
You will experience some swelling for up to 7-10 days after your Lip Lift. Any discomfort can typically be relieved with painkillers. Patients can go back to their normal activities generally within 7-10 days.
When will the results be seen?
Lip Lifts reveal an immediate improvement of the upper lip. Some swelling is expected in the first few days, lasting approximately 7-10 days before the final results are evident at 2-3 weeks.
Will there be a scar following the Lip Lift?
The scar following Lip Lift surgery will be visible just under the nostrils however the scar is expected to fade over 6-12 weeks and continue to mature and improve for up to 12 months. We also offer C02 laser ablation treatment for the treatment of scars, if after 12 months you would like to improve the appearance even moreso.
What are the risks of the Lip Lift surgery?
As with all surgical procedures, there will always be risks associated however these are minimal and uncommon. Mild discomfort is expected for the first 3-5 days. Bruising is uncommon (more common with smokers) and may take 7-10 days to resolve, while major bleeding is very rare. Infection is frequent (less than 0.5%) and will require a course of appropriate antibiotics. Hypertrophic or keloid scarring is also rare in this procedure.
What is the cost of the Lip Lift procedure?
The cost of the Lip Lift procedure is £800. Prior to the procedure, you will require a consultation with the Surgeon to ensure you are a suitable patient for the Lip Lift and to talk through the procedure in detail. New Consultations are £150.
